Aboutinstitutional framework
The Venice Summer School in Digital and Public Humanities is organised by the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at the Department of Humanities, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies.
This website was built as part of the school itself: it hosts the programme, the teaching materials contributed by the lecturers, and a shared Journal written by the participants during the week. It is a working artefact of the school, not a communication channel of the University: the institutional information about the Summer School is published on the Ca’ Foscari website.
Ca’ Foscari University of Venice
This is not an institutional website of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. It was designed and developed as part of a project of the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) and the Department of Humanities, outside the web services of the University. Responsibility for its content lies with the Centre and with the curators of the project.
The role of the Centre and the Departments
The VeDPH conceived and ran the Summer School, coordinated its academic programme, and curated this site and its Journal. The Department of Humanities hosts the Centre and the school. The Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies contributed to its funding.
A full account of how the site was made, of the people who built it, and of the licences that apply to its contents is given in the Colophon. The institutions and projects supporting the school are listed under Partners.
